THE RANKS


Alphess: Leads the pack with her mate, the Alpha.

Alpha: Leads the pack with his mate, the Alphess.

Betess: Manages the pack her mate, the Beta. Second in rank only to Alphess,

Beta: Manages the pack with his mate, the Betess. Second in rank only to Alpha.

Elite(s): Is the best fighter or the best hunter. If asked by one of the higher ranking wolves, they lead border patrols and large hunts.

Healer: This wolf is skilled in the arts of healing with plants and other objects. May have TWO apprentices if they have the permission of the Alphess and/or Alpha.

Scout(s): Scouts are responsible for greeting new wolves, and getting messages to the other packs if need be. They are the only wolves allowed to venture into the territories of other packs, but may only do so with the promise of not hunting in other pack's lands.

Mentor(s): Wolves who are currently training their own apprentice; they are the same rank as regulars, but if they are very good at training other wolves it may open them to higher ranks.

Regular(s): The bulk of the pack, these are the fighters and hunters which provide for and protect their pack members.

Mother(s): OBVIOUSLY only she-wolves may be mothers, please don't ask for this rank if your wolf is male >.< These wolves are pregnant or have pups to care for.

Omega(s): The lowest of the pack, their the sticky glue that holds everyone together.

Apprentice(s): Not quite pups, but not really adults either. Meet the teenages of pack life; Apprentices are training under a mentor to learn how to hunt, fight, and/or do whatever else it is their mentor decides to teach them. Can be an apprentice from 6 months to a year and 6 months old.

Pups: Six months of younger, the newest generation is not expected to do anything other than be cute and cuddly.
